During the interview to the blog PR Interview, the executive talked about HARO, investiments in brazilian companies, marathons, triathlons and skydiving.
Take a look:
PR Interview: Peter, you work like a PR, but you have also several companies and projects, like Help A Reporter Out (HARO). In your opinion a professional who works with PR needs to be necessarily an entrepreneur?
Peter Shankman: PR people don’t need to be entrepreneurs necessarily, but entrepreneurs definitely need to be PR people. Entrepreneurs have to constantly tell the world what they’re doing, how they’re doing it, and what successes they have.
PR Interview: Does a PR professional take advantages when he invests in a business or launches a company?
Peter Shankman: I think anyone investing in a solid company or who has a great idea for a launch has a good advantage.
PR Interview: What are your next plans for HARO?
Peter Shankman: We’re currently growing HARO to multiple countries and other places around the world, in multiple languages.
PR Interview: Peter, you are a sportsman and enjoys marathons, triathlons and skydiving. Do you practice sports to relieve stress, to fetch creativity or just to pass the time?
Peter Shankman: All of them. I’m ADD. I’m a big fan of doing things that help me raise my dopamine and adrenaline levels. Skydiving, marathons, all help do that.
PR Interview: To finish up, would you like to invest in any brazilian company? What would be the ideal profile of a brazilian company to receive your investment?
Peter Shankman: If I find an interesting company I like, it doesn’t matter where they’re located.
