Maria do Rosário Louro, general director of Jervis Pereira (Portugal)

“Nobody hires a services company without seeing its website and reviewing the form of positioning. It is more important to have a website than to have brochures or pamphlets”.

This view is of Portuguese Maria do Rosario Louro, general director of Jervis Pereira.

In an interview to the blog PR Interview, she also talked about clipping report, ROI and work to promote SMEs

Take a look at the main topics of the interview:

PR Interview: In the PR Agency, is the work for SMEs totally different from the work for large companies?

Maria do Rosario Louro: There are some differences. SMEs are more difficult to arouse media interest. You can not just send press releases and do press conference.

PR Interview: Are the journalists from Portugal very receptive to the events organized by companies?

Maria do Rosario Louro: Yes, we still have a great journalist response, especially if they are organized by agencies or clients.

PR Interview: How do you produce the clipping reports?

Maria do Rosario Louro: Our company produces monthly clipping reports with economic value for all clients. Each report indicates the media type, name, title of article, profile, size and circulation.

PR Interview: In Portugal, is the website important for businesses?

Maria do Rosario Louro: Nobody hires a services company without seeing its website and reviewing its form of positioning. It is more important to have a website than to have brochures or flyers.

PR Interview: To finish up, how do you measure the PR activity ROI?

Maria do Rosario Louro: If someone takes a half-page news, ROI equals the list price of half a page of advertising in that vehicle. If you take a paragraph, it is equal to the price of advertising space in a paragraph.
